We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Trade Operations Lead with a deep understanding of European Union (EU) trade laws and export authorizations. This role requires a minimum of 7 years of experience in trade operations or a related field. The successful candidate will be fluent in multiple languages, proficient in securing export authorizations, and knowledgeable about international trade compliance. They will be adept at navigating complex trade environments and providing effective and compliant solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain compliance with all EU trade laws and regulations, ensuring that business operations are legally and ethically conducted.
Obtain necessary export licenses and authorizations in accordance with local and international laws.
Provide expert guidance on international trade and export control matters to various internal teams, ensuring an understanding of and adherence to trade compliance.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operation of import/export processes involving information security systems, equipment, and components.
Identify and mitigate any potential risks or violations of trade regulations.
Stay current with changes in EU and international trade laws and regulations and inform relevant teams of any changes that may impact business operations.
Develop and implement strategies for trade efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Manage and oversee the secure and compliant shipping of hazardous materials and IT equipment, including laptops.
Responsible for completing regulatory review to identify new product import requirements for importers of record.
Collaborate with Kyndryl product safety and environmental teams to ensure import/in-country requirements are met for products.
Provide training and support to staff on all matters related to trade compliance and operations.
Qualifications:
Experience in trade operations, international business, or a related field.
Bachelor’s degree in political science, Law, Economics, or a related field.
Profound knowledge of EU trade laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), Convention
