    We are looking for a Business Intelligence Manager (BMI) for one of our principals clients in the Energy Sector. The new BMI, will be a member of the European Productivity team and the leader of our clien´s regional Analytics team. The candidate joining our team will identify and work with relevant challenges covering any company area and significantly impacting operating profit. In order to identify and work with these challenges, the BMI will need to have a great understanding of the business, will build and promote a good internal network and will apply analytics and operations research techniques.
    In the deployment of the strategy, the BIM will have the support of a team of business intelligence analysts. The candidate joining our team will provide the required development support for them to implement best in class procedures. In order to keep the leadership team informed on the advancement, the BMI will also build and maintain the reporting structure.
    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Create, design and implement data-driven reports with senior management that promote business Intelligence services, that help the company make better decisions, enhance operations, and maximize performance.
    • Work with stakeholders from across the organization to identify possibilities for harnessing data to produce develop and execute reports that provide corporate users with insightful data to create business value.
    • Understand current business intelligence process, monitor crucial parameters such as client satisfaction or customer acquisition costs and recommend practical solutions to improve business effectiveness.
    • Manage a team of engineers and data analysts to help them grow their careers and meet company goals, provide guidance and support to use data visualizations to communicate complex information easily.
    • Monitor market trends and work with vendors and the IT organization to identify future business possibilities and implement new tools or systems as required.
    • Consider patterns, correlations, and trends when analyzing data to support business decisions.
    • Maintain financial control on Business Intelligence reports and ensure that resources are utilized effectively.
    • Actively participate in the technical development, and lead the project execution which, in some cases, will involve multidisciplinary teams.

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
    • Demonstrate high levels of enthusiasm and leadership capability, ability to champion new ideas and technology
    • Proficient in sifting through enormous amounts of data to identify patterns, trends, and other important information, utilize their data analysis skills to review and interpret data from numerous sources.
    • Effective Communication; work together on establishing strategies and solutions with different types of people and organizations, such as employees, clients, and other stakeholders to counsel and direct the team.
    • Critical thinking; analyzing a situation and selecting the best course of action, thinking abilities to decide what information to obtain, how to gather it, and how to convey it to their organization.
    • Project Management; oversee the execution of a business intelligence project including creating a project plan, assigning tasks to team members, monitoring the project’s progress, and determining its success.
    • ETL abilities extract data from one system, convert it into a format that another system can use, and then load it into a second system.
    • Organization Skills; simultaneously keep records for many projects, control files, records and other information, remain on top of key responsibilities, and ensure that the relevant information is available.
    • Database Management; organizing storing and creating a databases that enable quick searches for particular information. Software programming language capabilities that allows for the automation of operations and scripts.
    • Decision-making ability to choose how to use the data, how to convey their findings so that others would be able to comprehend them.
    • Leadership ability to motivate and guide a team of individuals working with them to produce their best work.
    • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
    PREFERRED:
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, information technology, or a related field.
    • In-depth Knowledge and expertise in managing a team of analysts.
    • Proficiency SQL, and other database analysis tools. Superior proficiency in statistical techniques and modeling.
    • The ability to develop novel solutions for challenging problems.
    • Outstanding communication, presentation, and project management skills.
    • Knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau, QlikView, or Power BI.
    • 5 to 10 years of experience or more in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related profession.5+ years of relevant industry experience.
