Experis Life & Science seeks for a leading multinational company in its sector a Plant HR Manager, based in Asturias and reporting directly to Plant Manager.

MAIN PURPOSE : To ensure that the business is staffed by the appropriate number of properly paid, skilled and motivated employees in an environment which is safe, with harmonious industrial relations, in order to meet future business goals within agreed budgets.

MAIN DUTIES :

Manpower planning :
- Ensure that the organisational structure and the people within that structure are appropriate to meet the changing needs of the business.
- Deliver recruitment and headcount management programmes, in order to meet the business plan.

Training and development :
- Ensure that there is an effective succession plan in place and that individuals are developed in such a way that they are prepared for future roles within the Group.
- Ensure that the resources are in place to deliver individual development plans, in line with business goals, developing a multi-skilled, knowledgeable and committed workforce.

Employee relations :
- Develop a culture in which employees feel involved, committed and valued.
- Ensure that the mechanisms for employee participation in the business are effective.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to comply with Employment Legislation – consistent with Company regional and operational policies
- Ensure, through Line Managers, that disciplinary, grievance and absence control procedures are effective.
- Ensure that working relationships are harmonious and that disputes and grievances are resolved promptly, without detriment to the business.

HR & Payroll Administration

- Ensure provision of effective HR and payroll administration services for managers and employees.
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures, in line with organisational and legislative changes and requirements.
- Advise Line Managers on employment legislation
