The EMEA Junior VAT assist the Senior Tax & Transfer Pricing Manager and the VAT Manager in successfully steering EMEA entities through tax laws and regulations. Work on complex global tax planning / risk control issues and compliance issues in a truly global organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

Support US Headquarters with all relevant corporate income tax information for various EMEA entities.
Support on complex global VAT/Customs planning and compliance issues and tasks for various EMEA entities.
Support global tax planning / risk control rended to non-EU entities’ activities.
Help to ensure that the tax function is aligned with the organization vision and strategy
Collaborate closely with the EMEA Tax Director to ensure that the function is globally aligned and executed effectively.
Coordinate with the EMEA Tax Team to:

o Proactively identify, advice on, manage and mitigate potential tax exposures.

o Identify, propose, analyze and implement Tax Planning initiatives, including M&A activities.

o Consult, work with and service Management and their staff with the aim to formulate and deliver tax saving and cost saving innovative strategies.


Tax review of intercompany agreements and important contracts, as well as of potential cross-border activities.
Perform VAT reviews of company entities.
Communication with company auditors and tax administrations.
Manage the Tax Accounting & Reporting, including US GAAP reporting using the Thomson Reuter OneSourceTax Provision software.
Coordinate tax SOX requirements and audits.
Ensure all transfer pricing compliance requirements are satisfied.
Ensure reclaim of foreign input VAT is carried out cost efficiently and support sites in process for EMEA entities.
Supervise the filing and monitor VAT returns in countries where company entities are registered and reclaim VAT paid abroad in countries where they are not registered (where it makes sense).
Act as a contact person in the EMEA Tax De
