Role Purpose:

Based in Madrid and reporting to the Head Corporate Affairs GDF&E, this role is responsible for managing regulatory compliance requirements (e.g. around packaging, labelling, Track & Trace or ingredients reporting) into actionable tasks for internal as well as external stakeholders. This role requires detailed understanding of the Duty Free business model and close cross-functional liaison within the organisation to build resilience and to exploit opportunities that arise due to changes in the regulatory landscape for TobMax and NGP.

The role requires to constantly scan for as well as to quickly adapt to regulatory changes. The successful applicant will proactively engage with the relevant Duty Free markets and managers to ensure potential benefits from these changes can be reaped. Based on a detailed understanding of relevant regulatory requirements, the role needs to be able to create concise briefing documents that can be used for internal business decisions. In addition the candidate needs to have a good understanding of policy-making processes and be able to create targeted engagement materials such as position papers etc. The role holder supports the Head of CLA GDFE in representing the business in associations and other external environments.

Finally, the role will strengthen GDF’s ability to be perceived as a preferred supplier by its customers. By being constantly on top of regulatory requirement, significant added value can be created for key trade partners.
