Role Purpose:
Based in Madrid and reporting to the Head of CLA GDFE, this role is responsible for protecting the best interests of Imperial Tobacco against illicit trade activity; security related risks and identified impact risks throughout the Duty Free channel. This role requires detailed understanding of the Duty Free business model and close cross-functional liaison within the organisation to build resilience and develop opportunities for growth via an effective Anti-Illicit Trade strategy.
The role is intimately linked to the requirements articulated in external agreements like the “EU AIT Agreement” and linked to all internal compliance standards. The successful applicant will require full understanding of ITG’s compliance standards and implications, coupled with proactive engagement with the relevant Duty Free markets and managers.
Key Duty Free risks and regulatory issues need to be identified and control mechanisms need to be planned and implemented with key activities in conjunction with the Duty Free management.
